Noco receives top rankings for service

This year has been a good one thus far for the Noco Energy Corp.

Its convenience store arm, Noco Express, was recently ranked first for overall experience, cleanliness and outdoor lighting by GasBuddy, a leading app for crowdsourced information for drivers, including the best gas prices, closest stations and friendliest service.

GasBuddy compiled its rankings by examining station ratings and reviewed data in its app between July 1 and Sept. 30, dividing brands into four segments based on the total number of retail locations across the categories of cleanliness, coffee, customer service, outdoor lighting, restrooms and overall experience.

In response to the recognition, Jim DeFilippis, vice president and general manager of Noco Express, gave credit to customers, employees and a number of new initiatives the company has introduced.

“Thank you to our customers and to our hardworking associates for helping us earn the top spot for overall convenience store experience in the U.S.,” DeFilippis said. “With the re-launch of our friends and family program earlier this year, continued store remodels, and the addition of more fresh grab-and-go products, we are committed to providing an easy and convenient on-the-go shopping experience.”

In addition, as part of a recent in-store campaign, Noco Express donated $14,309 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Western and Central New York Chapter. Noco Express customers had the opportunity to make a $1 donation at any of the company’s 39 locations throughout September.

“The nearly $15,000 raised by the stores will directly benefit patients and families affected by blood cancer in the Western New York area by funding research and patient access services to allow for the best possible quality of life for those affected by blood cancers,” said Kathleen Davis, senior campaign manager of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Western and Central New York Chapter.
