• Toddler Time, for children 20 months to 3½ years, accompanied by an adult, is being offered at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

• Story Time, for children 3½ to 5 years, is being offered at 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

• Family Story Time, for children up to 3½ years, is being offered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

• Children 6 and older are invited to the Lego Club at 11 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month.

• A sprouting demonstration will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 11. Participants will learn how to grow a year-round edible garden without any soil by sprouting small vegetables, beans, legumes and grains. Attendees will receive seeds, recipes, instructions and a copy of the Natural Home Remedies guidebook. The class is open to ages 17 and older. Call or stop by the library to register.

• Dr. John A. Sterba, a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, will teach community members what they need to prepare for a disaster during a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 18. Those attending will learn about food storage, purifying and storing water, as well as medical care and safely using a generator. Registration is required.

• Children ages 3 and older are invited to get a hands-on lesson about sea life with The Aquarium of Niagara’s traveling touch tank. The event will take place at 2:30 and 3 p.m. Friday, June 29. Children 5 and younger must be accompanied by a caregiver. Space is limited, and registration is required.

• Teams of two or more will attempt to create a work of art using limited materials during the Scrap Bag Challenge at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28. The finished creations will be displayed in the library. Children 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Call to register

Toddler Time, for children ages 2 and 3, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

Book Babies, for newborns and children up to age 2, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays.

Preschool Story Time, for children ages 3 to 5, takes place at 10:30 a.m. Fridays.

Gaming Unplugged will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. A variety of old-fashioned tabletop cards and games will be available, and guests are invited to bring their own games.

The library will screen the movie “Casablanca” starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9. Popcorn will be included, and registration is not required.

Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to learn the basics of gardening from Sarah Hill of Miller Farm & Greenhouse. The class will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13. Children will plant a flower to take home. Registration is required.

Children 5 and older will get a chance to read to a certified therapy dog for a 15-minute time period from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 16. Call to register.

A computer class on Microsoft Excel 2016 will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16. Registration is required. This class is open to those 17 and older.

The Elma Book Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20. Come prepared to discuss the book “The Stranger in the Woods” by Michael Finkel. Call the library or stop in to register.

Summer Reading sign-up begins the week of June 25. Sign up for the Reading or Read to Me Program during this week. Children can fill out a reading log and return it to the library, where they will receive prizes.

The Cookbook Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 27. Browse the featured cookbook or bring your own and a dish to share. Call to register.

Families are invited to come watch the movie “Peter Rabbit” at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30. Registration is not required, and a snack will be provided.

Vacation Fun Club for children in grades first through fourth will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 10-Aug. 14. Join for stories, games, crafts and more. Registration is required.

Preschool Summer Fun Club for children ages 3½ to 5½ will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays starting July 12-Aug. 16. Join staff members for crafts, games, stories and more. Registration is required.

Glenn Colton will perform at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12. The show is free and registration is not required.
