E-recycling event slated for Feb. 3

Residents who are looking to get rid of their old electronics will have a convenient and environmentally friendly way to do so in East Aurora.

State Sen. Patrick Gallivan is teaming up with Sunnking Electronics to host an upcoming electronics recycling event.

The drop-off will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Parkdale Elementary, 141 Girard Ave., East Aurora.

“This is a great opportunity to get rid of old electronics that don’t work or are sitting around collecting dust,” Gallivan said. “Things like televisions, computers and microwaves can’t be put out with regular garbage and need to be disposed of properly.

The drop-off is free, and we’ll have volunteers on hand to unload your vehicle as quickly as possible.”

Sunnking Electronics Recycling will accept almost all devices that have a circuit board or a cord, including computers and computer accessories, printers, ink and toner cartridges, monitors, televisions, microwave ovens, copiers and fax machines, telephones, radios, video and audio equipment and most small appliances.

Items that will not be collected include refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and televisions and monitors with broken glass. A complete list of acceptable and non-acceptable items is available at: www.sunnking.com.
