Quilting club hosts monthly meetings

Immanuel Quilters will meet at 9 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 43 Pine St., East Aurora. The group is dedicated to making quilts for those in need. For more information, visit www.im manueleastaurora.com. or call 652-4240.

EA Boys and Girls Club plans alumni event

Alumni of the Boys and Girls Club of East Aurora are invited to stop by the club starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 24 Paine St., East Aurora, for Night at the Club — Thanksgiving Eve. Food and adult beverages will be provided, and guests will get a chance to play “Bubble Socc er.” The event is open to those 21 and older.

Holiday party to benefit charities

James F. Collins Insurance Agency is hosting a holiday community gathering from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Wallenwein’s Hotel, 621 Oakwood Ave., East Aurora. Admission is free with the donation of a bag of canned goods, unwrapped toy or donation to the Rural Outreach Center. Pizza, wings, beer, wine and pop will be served at the event. Proceeds will help FISH of East Aurora and the Rural Outreach Center.

Healthy Rink Zone sets free skate night

The Healthy Rink Zone is holding a free family skating night with a donation to FISH of East Aurora. The event will take place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at 41 Riley St., East Aurora. Registration is recommended but not required. Tickets can be purchased at www.eventbrite.com.

Historical Society schedules craft sale

The Aurora Historical Society will host its annual Christmas sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Millard Fillmore House Museum, 24 Shearer Ave., East Aurora. The Abigail Craft Group of the Aurora Historical Society will be on hand to sell handcrafted Christmas items. Call 652-8525 for more information on this event.

School sets breakfast, Christmas bazaar

Immaculate Conception School will hold a pancake breakfast and Christmas bazaar from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at the school, 510 Oakwood Ave., East Aurora. The bazaar will feature a cakewalk, face painting, children’s games and photos with Santa, along with handmade crafts and baked goods.

Store to celebrate American Christmas

The Made in America Store will host its annual All-American Christmas event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at 1000 W. Maple Court, Elma. This free, family-friendly event will feature a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, live music and food vendors. The tree lighting ceremony will take place at 1 p.m.

Choir to perform Handel’s ‘Messiah’

The Community Advent Chorale will perform at Baker Memorial United Methodist Church from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at 345 Main St., East Aurora. The 90-member choir will join a chamber orchestra to perform Handel’s “Messiah” under the direction of Gregory White. Several soloists will be featured in the performance.
