East Aurora Library collecting books

Books, Textbooks, CDs, DVDs and puzzles may be dropped off at the East Aurora Library between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, for the used book sale to be held in June. No Reader’s Digests, encyclopedias, textbooks or VHS tapes will be accepted. For information or to arrange for the pickup of books, call the library at 652-4440, or stop in the library, located at 550 Main St.

St. Gabriel’s meat raffle planned

St. Gabriel’s Ladies Guild will hold its “Spin the Wheel” meat raffle from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at St Gabriel’s Parish Hall, 5271 Clinton St., Elma. Admission is $5 and includes food and pop. There will also be extra raffles of small appliances, a money raffle and theme baskets. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the first spin starting at 6 p.m. For more information, call 868-6963.

Garden Club to hold meeting

The East Aurora Garden Club will hold a meeting at noon Monday, Nov. 13, at St. Matthias Episcopal Church, Main and Maple streets, East Aurora. Barb Klein, design specialist at Seneca Greenhouse in Elma, will present a hands-on holiday centerpiece demonstration. For more information on the garden club, call Val at 980-3202.
