Annunciation Church to hold annual picnic

Annunciation Church, 7580 Clinton St., will hold its annual picnic from Aug. 17 through 21 on the parish grounds. Friday night will feature a fish fry and cruise night, while Saturday will feature pork chop dinners and musical entertainment. There will be a Polka Mass on Sunday, Aug. 19, and a grand raffle of $2,500. For more information, call 683-5254.

Audubon Society to present Knox walks

The Buffalo Audubon Society will present “Mantis Mysteries,” explaining why the preying mantis is no longer seen, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Knox Farm State Park, off Buffalo Road. The walk is free to participate in. For more details, call 585-457-3228.

Roycroft Master Artisan to showcase photos

Howard Miller, a master craftsman in wood, will debut his photography at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 at the Roycroft Power House on South Grove Street. The Wild Rumpus, a three-piece string band from West Virginia, will provide musical entertainment. Tickets are $10 each. Refreshments and a cash bar will also be available. Flip Side to cater chicken barbecue

Wales Hollow Lutheran Church, 5445 E. Creek Road, will host a chicken barbecue catered by the Flip Side from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. For more information, call the church at 655-2456.
