Petitions available for School Board seats in Iroquois, East Aurora

Two seats on the East Aurora School Board and one on the Iroquois School Board will be on the ballot in this year’s district election.

MaryBeth Covert and Dennis Holbrook, of the East Aurora board, are each seeking re-election to a three-year term, while Iroquois School Board member Susan Brunner is running for re-election to a five-year term.

The filing deadline for any person interested in running for either board is 5 p.m. Monday, April 16. District residents will vote on Tuesday, May 15.

For prospective East Aurora candidates, petitions and an information packet are available at the District Clerk’s Office, 430 Main St., East Aurora. The petitions require 28 valid signatures, 2 percent of last year’s total vote count. For more information, call 687-2300.

For Iroquois, petitions and an information packet are available at 2111 Girdle Road, Elma. There are 35 valid signatures needed. For more information, call 652-3000.
