Music school entices prospective new students

New students enrolling at Community Music School can save $25 if they sign up before March 31.

New students normally have to pay a $16 registration fee, but the nonprofit school is waiving the fee for the rest of this month to encourage new students to enroll. The school will also take $9 off each new student’s first bill, bringing the total savings to $25 for each new student.

Community Music School offers individual lessons in voice and a variety of instruments to students from age 7 to adults. Lessons are offered at St. Matthias Church, 374 Main St. in East Aurora, as well as other locations in Buffalo, Clarence Center, Getzville, Lancaster, Lockport and Snyder. The school also offers music and singing classes for children from 6 months to 12 years, as well as drumming, fiddling, string and vocal ensembles for various ages. Detailed information is available at www.communitymusicbuffalo.org or by phone at 884-4887.

“We’ve been seeing a surge of new students lately,” said Jeff Paterson, executive director of Community Music School. “For those who may be on the fence, this discount might just be the incentive they need to join the Community Music School family.”

To request an enrollment packet, call the school at 884-4887, send an email to info@cms-buffalo.org, or stop in at 415 Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo. Completed applications must be returned by March 31 to receive the $25 discount.
