Quilting club plans meetings

Immanuel Quilters will meet at 9 a.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 43 Pine St., East Aurora. The group is dedicated to making quilts for those in need. For more information on the group, call 652-4240 or visit www.immanueleastaurora.com.

EA Art Society to meet

The East Aurora Art Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Aurora Senior Center, 101 King St., East Aurora. Town Historian Robert Goller will discuss the history of East Aurora and talk about the upcoming bicentennial.

Kennel Club to host banquet

The Upstate Kennel Club will host its awards banquet and this month’s meeting from 6 To 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Bravo Cafe & Catering, 5781 Seneca St, Elma. Musician to play at brewery

Local musician Sam Marabella will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at 42 North Brewing Company, 25 Pine St., East Aurora.

Hampton Inn to host family-friendly event

In the spirit of the season, Hampton Inn East Aurora will host a free family event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Hampton Inn, 49 Olean St., East Aurora. There will be free pony rides, exotic animals by the Wildlife Defenders, entertainment and games, and costumed characters. The event will be held in the banquet room.

Presentation slated on ‘green’ burials

A free presentation on environmentally friendly burial practices will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Jan. 20, at 31 S. Grove St., East Aurora. Registration is required. For information, visit www.wild spirit.org/events.

The Burns Supper set for Jan. 26

The Roycroft Inn, along with author Mason Winfield, will host The Burns Supper 2018 starting at 6 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26 at the Roycroft Inn, 40 S. Grove St., East Aurora. The event features a night of Scottish food, poetry, culture, beverage, and celebration. Reservations required by calling 655-6663.

Beekeeping class slated for Jan. 27

Masterson’s Garden Center, located at 725 Olean Road, will host a beekeeping class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27. Sessions will be held in one-hour increments. To register, visit www.Mastersons.net.

Meat raffle set for Jan. 27

The Orchard Park Destination ImagiNation Boosters will present a meat raffle from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Matthew Glab Post 1477, 1965 Abbott Road, Lackawanna. Tickets are $6 presale and $8 at the door. The cost includes a roast beef sandwich, unlimited beverages and a door prize ticket. Sledding event slated at Elma Meadows

A family sledding day will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at Elma Meadows Park, 1711 Girdle Road. In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Feb. 25.
