Free movies offered in Hamlin Park

Movies in the Park continue with the film “Storks” at dusk on Friday, Aug. 11, at Hamlin Park, 166 S. Grove St., East Aurora. The event runs every Friday through the end of August. Activities will be held before the start of the movie. Concessions are available, and guests will have an opportunity to win door prizes.

Knox Farm State Park to host Bark Bash

The Bark Bash will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Knox Farm State Park, 437 Buffalo Road, East Aurora. The event features a basket raffle, contests, demonstrations and a special guest. All leashed, vaccinated, well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend. Contests this year will be Best Costume, Best Trick, and Owner and Dog Look-alike contest.

EA Garden Club to host picnic

The East Aurora Garden Club will hold its annual picnic and auction at noon Monday, Aug. 14, at the Elma Town Park, Shelter No. 1, 3011 Bowen Road, Elma. Knox Farm State Park to host 5K race

The fourth annual Cross Country Crusade 5K will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Knox Farm State Park, 437 Buffalo Road, East Aurora. T-shirts will be available while supplies last. Pizza and refreshments will also be provided. Prizes will be awarded for top male and female runners, and all runners will be entered in a free raffle for gift certificates and baskets from Western New York businesses. Tour set at Owen Falls Sanctuary

Western New York Land Conservancy and Preservation Buffalo Niagara will host a walk at Owen Falls Sanctuary from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at 1751 Hubbard Road, East Aurora. Take a tour of the 57-acre property, which features two waterfalls and a vast hemlock forest. Tickets are $10 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Wednesday concerts set in Elma

Sara Elizabeth will perform at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Elma Village Green Park, 3001 Bowen Road, Elma. The free concert is part of a series taking place every Wednesday through Aug. 30.
