Failed stop leads to arrest

Tuesday, Jan. 24
• A Buffalo woman reported her Garmin GPS missing from the center console of her vehicle. She went into a Main Street restaurant and returned about 15 minutes later, discovering the missing item. She said she may have left the vehicle unlocked. No evidence or witnesses were found.
Thursday, Jan. 26
An employee of a Grey Street restaurant reported that two white males in their late teens failed to pay their bill of $11.96. She told police that they were with two other teenaged males and fled the scene after asking her to get them some ice cream from the back. Their vehicle was described as small and black. Both males were about 6 feet tall. One had black hair and was wearing a black coat while the other was blonde and wearing a headband and sweatshirt. Patrol checked the area but found nothing.
Friday, Jan. 27
A Girdle Road man reported his laptop computer stolen from his car while he got his hair cut. Patrol canvassed the area but was unable to find anything.
Saturday, Jan. 28
A Buffalo man was charged with marijuana possession after patrol pulled him over for running a red light on Main Street. The report said the man appeared nervous when giving police his identification. The K-9 unit came upon the scene and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the man and the vehicle. The dog alerted police to a plastic bag containing about nine grams of marijuana, and a blunt containing about one gram. He was processed and ordered to appear in Aurora Town Justice Court on Feb. 8.
Sunday, Jan. 29
A Center Street woman reported that she was walking through a Grey Street parking lot approaching the crosswalk in front of the west entrance to a supermarket when a red SUV failed to stop and struck her right side. The vehicle then turned left and fled the scene. Three witnesses described the SUV as a newer-style red Ford Explorer with silver trim. A check with the security footage turned up nothing. The victim did not appear to be injured and signed off on treatment.
A Boston, N.Y., man admitted to possessing marijuana and a glass pipe while patrol was at the scene of a reported domestic dispute. He was charged and processed and ordered to appear at Aurora Town Justice Court on Feb. 22.

Friday, Jan. 20
Deputies found a wallet on Bowen Road. Arrangements were made with the owner to return it.
Saturday, Jan. 21
Deputies investigated an alarm at a second-story playroom on Timberline Drive. All was secure.
Sunday, Jan. 22
The alarm at the right bay side man door was set off at a country club on Girdle Road. All was secure.
A burglary alarm was set off on Cragburn. Patrol walked through the residence and found all in order.
Monday. Jan. 23
A alarm at the maintenance building of a Girdle Road country club was set off. The door reportedly appeared secure and patrol secured the door on the storage shed, which did not have an alarm.
A garage entry alarm was tripped on Knabb Road. All was reportedly secure.
Wednesday. Jan. 25
An Elma woman and Niagara Falls man were arrested on charges of marijuana possession on Maple Road. They were both issued appearance tickets.
Deputies received a call about a tractor-trailer blocking the entrance ramp to Maple Road from Route 400. The vehicle already had help on the way to move it.
A driver ran out of gas on Girdle Road. Assistance was already on the way upon deputies’ arrival.
Deputies investigated a report of a stolen vehicle from a Jamison Road location. It was unknown exactly when it was taken, as the car’s registered owner is deceased and the plates were surrendered.
Deputies responded to a hall motion detector on Billington Heights. All was reported secure.
Thursday, Jan. 26
An alarm was set off at National Fuel on Hemstreet Road. The key holder responded and all appeared to be in order.
A Schultz Road resident reported an identity theft.
