Absolut Care hosting exercise classes

The Arthritis Foundation will present free ongoing arthritis exercise classes from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays in January and February in the Hamlin Residence Activity Room at Absolut Care of Aurora Park, 292 Main St. People may join in at any time. Call 652-1560 to register.

Aurora Waldorf to hold ‘Winter Faire’

Aurora Waldorf School, 525 West Falls Road, will present its annual Winter Faire from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28. Admission is $5 per person, and children 16 and younger will receive $5 worth of activity tickets with admission. For more information, contact the school at 655-2029.

St. Gabriel’s to hold ’60s and ’70s dance

St. Gabriel’s Holy Name Society is sponsoring the 28th annual ’60s and ’70s Dance on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Parish Center, 5271 Clinton St. Attendees must be 21 or older. The doors open at 7:45 p.m., with music by Mitty and the Followers (formerly The Legendary Dukes) at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 presale and $18 at the door. Aurora Waldorf presents 10,000 Maniacs alum

Mary Ramsey (formerly of the band 10,000 Maniacs) and the Healers will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Aurora Waldorf School, 525 West Falls Road. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased by calling 655-2029. Seating is limited to 400 people.

St. Paul’s Lutheran sets healing service

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 53 West Falls Road, will host “Shine the Light on Cancer” on Saturday, Feb. 4. Two services will be held, at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. From 7 to 10 p.m., the church will have a candlelight vigil of prayer and remembrance. People are asked to bring luminarias made from used glass jars for each person affected by cancer, to either pray for or remember. St. Vincent de Paul to present Vegas Night

St. Vincent de Paul School, 6441 Seneca St., will hold “Vegas Night” from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4. Tickets, which are $20 presale and $25 at the door, include $5 in gaming chips, beer, wine, snacks, coffee, desserts and a chance to win four Buffalo Sabres tickets. There will also be music, 50/50 drawings and a Chinese auction. Attendees must be 21 or older. For tickets or more information, call 652-8697.
