Teens alleged to cause mayhem on Treehaven Drive

East Aurora
Sunday, Aug. 22
• Police were called to the intersection of Main Street and Elmwood Avenue after receiving a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian, a 19-year-old Prospect Avenue man, told police he was running in the center of Elmwood Avenue and tried to move to the shoulder when he was struck from behind. The driver of the vehicle confirmed the story, police said. The driver was permitted to leave and the pedestrian was treated at the scene.
Monday, Aug. 23
• A caller reported youths on bicycles possibly damaging property on Treehaven Drive. Upon arrival, police said a mailbox post had been pulled out of the ground and thrown on the lawn across the street, another mailbox had been removed from its post, and toilet paper had been thrown onto bushes surrounding the damage. Police were unable to locate the suspects.
• A Center Street resident reported a possible larceny from a vehicle parked on Parkdale Avenue while visiting a North Willow Street residence. The owner of the vehicle verified with police that nothing had been taken.
• Police received a report of harassment from a Town of Aurora Highway Department employee. He reported an angry caller had been threatening him and insulting him. The caller was told not to call back without a legitimate complaint as the employee reported the caller often made no sense while on the telephone.
• Police received a report of a 12-pack of beer stolen from a garage on Brooklea Drive. Later, police received a report of two youths allegedly breaking beer bottles in the street. The youths were gone upon arrival.
Tuesday, Aug. 24
• Police received a report of vandalism at an Emery Road park, where a sink and a urinal had been smashed and copper and brass valves were missing.
• An employee of a Riley Street bar reported a patron unwilling to leave when asked. Police said a 62-year-old South Grove Street man became belligerent, yelling at bar patrons and employees, and was forcibly removed from the establishment. He was charged with disorderly conduct.
• Police were notified of graffiti found at an Emery Road park. Four phrases were written some time Saturday, but not reported earlier.
Thursday, Aug. 26
• Police were called to a West Falls Road park after a caller reported a possible theft from a restroom. Police said pipes were missing from a sink and toilets, while a line to a water fountain was also damaged, but not taken.
Friday, Aug. 27
• While doing a check at a Quaker Road building, Police noticed a broken glass door. Police said there was no signs of entering the building, which is vacant and for sale.
• A woman reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be her nephew needing bail money for a friend stuck at Niagara Falls customs. She said she questioned the individual on the phone because she knew her nephew was out of town. The caller hung up on her. She said she then verified with her nephew that he was indeed out of town.
• Police stopped a driver heading east on Oakwood Avenue. The 61-year-old Orchard Park woman was driving her vehicle with a flat tire and damage to the rim. She told officers she had taken Klozopan with six beers before driving. She reportedly failed three field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Saturday, Aug. 28
• Police were called to a report of a burglary in progress at a Davis Road business. When they arrived, a witness reported looking through a telescope and seeing someone in the shadows after the sound of glass breaking. The witness told police he yelled at the person, who fled from the scene. Police found an office window broken.
• A Chicago man reported damage to his rental car parked in the area of a South Grove Street business. He reported damage consistent with someone trying to pry open the door. He told police he was unsure if it happened in East Aurora or in West Seneca earlier.
Elma
Friday, Aug. 20
• Deputies investigated a report of a suspicious person on Route 400 near Maple Road. It was reported that two males were sitting on a guardrail. The two were reportedly taken to the Elma substation for investigation and then released.
• Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of loud music on Aurora Street. The subjects were advised to turn the music down.
Saturday, Aug. 21
• Patrol arrested a driver on Transit Road for drunk driving during a traffic stop.
• Deputies responded to a report of a fight on Stolle Road. Patrol said six people were involved in a fight at a party. One victim was treated at the scene and needed stitches.
• A caller reported an accident on N. Davis Road, resulting in minor injuries.
• Deputies investigated a report of a reckless driver on Jamison Road. However, the vehicle was gone on patrol’s arrival.
• Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an accident on Hall Road.
• Deputies investigated a report of shots fired on Cloverdale Lane. Sheriff’s deputies reportedly checked the area and all was in order.
• Patrol investigated a report of a loose dog on Billington Road. The dog was reportedly returned to its owner.
• Deputies responded to a report of a broken down motorist on Route 400.
• Patrol investigated a report of a disturbance on Seneca Street, but all was reported under control upon arrival.
Sunday, Aug. 22
• A caller reported an automobile accident on Route 400 near Maple Road. The drivers exchanged information.
• Deputies investigated a report of a disturbance on Caroline Lane.
• Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a broken down motorist on Bullis Road.
• Deputies notified the dog control officer of an animal complaint on Hilltop Road.
• Patrol responded to a report of an accident on Clinton Street, where the subject reportedly struck a deer and lost the vehicle’s license plate.
Tuesday, Aug. 24
• Deputies investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on Transit Road. Patrol said the vehicle was stopped as the subjects checked out a sale and all was in order.
• A caller reported a youth fell off her bicycle on Bowen Road. Her parents were notified.
• Patrol responded to a report of a disturbance on Roycroft Parkway.
• Patrol investigated a report of a reckless driver on Transit Road, but the driver was reportedly gone upon arrival at the reported location.
• Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of a larceny on Transit Road, where it was reported that items were stolen from a rented vehicle.
• Deputies investigated a disturbance reported on Bullis Road.
• A caller reported customer trouble at a Clinton Street business. The party was advised.
Wednesday, Aug. 25
• Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of customer trouble on Clinton Street. The subject in question was refusing to leave the premises.
• Patrol responded to a report of a reckless driver on Jamison Road.
Thursday, Aug. 26
• Deputies investigated a report of a suspicious person on Stolle Road. Patrol was informed of a black male reported going door to door. The subject was reportedly handing out flyers.
• Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of a suspicious incident on Chairfactory Road, where a subject reported that a vehicle was parked near his driveway.
