Loose dog chases jogger

East Aurora
Sunday, April 18
• Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Oakwood Avenue where one of the drivers, a 19-year-old Blakeley Road man, was found to have a suspended registration and no insurance. The driver was also charged with following too close for safety.
Monday, April 19
• While patrolling, police found fresh graffiti on the north side of an Elm Street building. There were several new markings, police said, and there are no current suspects.
• A Brooklea Drive man reported being the victim of identity theft. He told police that two transactions were made illegally from his bank card. The first was a $750 charge in New Jersey, while the other was a $786 charge in Kansas City, Mo.
Tuesday, April 20
• A Davis Road male reported that someone illegally opened a Capitol One card in his name.
Wednesday, April 21
• Police were called to a Short Road property for a case of trespassing. The problem happened when one neighbor mowed a strip of lawn on the edge of the other’s property. When confronted, the person said, the neighbor became vulgar.
• After stopping a vehicle for speeding on Route 400, patrol reportedly discovered two Machias men in possession of marijuana and cocaine. Police say the 26- and 21-year-olds also had open cans of beer in the vehicle.
Friday, April 23
• Police received a complaint about an unknown vehicle striking and damaging a mailbox at a Mill Road residence.
• Patrol stopped a 27-year-old Machias man for an inadequate license plate lamp and malfunctioning brake lights. Upon speaking with the driver, police noticed the smell of fresh marijuana. The driver also admitted to a second bag of the drug in the trunk, totaling more than 300 grams.
Saturday, April 24
• A 24-year-old Girard Avenue resident reported that a satellite radio receiver was stolen from inside her vehicle during the night. She told police she was unsure if she had locked her car doors.

Thursday, April 15
• Deputies investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle on Bowen Road. It reportedly belonged to a newspaper lady delivering papers.
• Patrol investigated a report of a suspicious person on Pound Road. The subject reportedly worked at a business in the area.
• Deputies served an order of protection on a Bowen Road subject.
Friday, April 16
• A suspicious incident was reported on North Blossom Road, An individual said a man was outside her house digging up the fence, but upon arrival, deputies found no suspicious activity.
• Patrol reported a traffic signal out at the intersection of Clinton Street and Townline Road.
• Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of larceny on Girdle Road after an individual reported three youths carrying real estate signs.
• After worrying about being followed home, a subject notified deputies of the possible threat.
• Deputies advised a driver on Seneca Street about reckless operation of a vehicle.
• Patrol responded to a report of an accident on Girdle Road near Jamison Road. The drivers involved exchanged information.
Saturday, April 17
• Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a deer struck on Route 400 at Girdle Road. The deer was dispatched.
• Patrol issued multiple traffic tickets to a driver stopped on Clinton Street near Girdle Road.
• There was a report of an accident on Jamison Road near the Route 400 exchange.
• Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a broken-down vehicle on Route 400 near Jamison Road.
Sunday, April 18
• Patrol was unable to find a driver reported as possibly drunk, swerving in the road on Transit Road near Schwartz Road.
• Deputies responded to the report of a reckless driver on Route 400 near Rice Road.
• Sheriff’s deputies issued a ticket to a driver on Bullis Road at Bowen Road in Elma for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was towed.
Monday, April 19
• A dog was reportedly loose on Bullis Road. The reporting subject said that while she was jogging, the dog came off the premises at her. The owners of the dog were notified and advised.
• Deputies responded to an accident on Clinton Street near Bowen Road. The drivers involved exchanged information.
• Sheriff’s deputies investigated a suspicious incident reported on Caroline Lane after a subject reported a van following a vehicle.
Tuesday, April 20
• Deputies responded to a report of a deer struck on Bullis Road near Transit Road.
• Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of a suspicious person on Porterville Road. However, the case was referred to East Aurora police.
• Patrol investigated a report of an abandoned vehicle on West Blood Road near Porterville Road. The owner of the vehicle was located and picked up the vehicle.
Wednesday, April 21
• Deputies followed up with a report of harassment on Bullis Road.
• A disorderly person on Bowen Road was advised.
• Deputies responded to the report of an accident on Seneca Street.
• An accident was reported on Seneca Street near Conley Road.
• Deputies responded to the report of a broken-down vehicle on Seneca Street near Willardshire Road.
Thursday, April 22
• Deputies responded to an accident reported on Girdle Road near Bullis Road.
• Sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of criminal mischief on Seneca Street. It was reported that a parked vehicle was keyed.
• A dog was reportedly loose on Route 400 near Jamison Road. The dog control officer was notified after the animal was said to be injured from being hit by a vehicle.
• Patrol responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident on Transit Road near Bullis Road. Patrol said the other vehicle was in the process of being located.
